How much is my Shipping?
Shipping is automatically calculated prior to submitting your payment information. Simply add items to your cart and enter your state/zip in the shipping calculator or proceed to the Checkout page where you will be offered Shipping Method choices and their prices.
 
How long will it take my order to be shipped?
For items that show an availability of "In Stock," orders usually leave our warehouse in within 2 business days from the day you place your order. For example, if you place your order on Monday, it will typically ship by Wednesday if the items are in stock. An order placed on Thursday will typically ship the following Monday. Saturday and Sunday are not business days for processing orders. Each product page will show the date or length of time it typically takes for the product to leave the warehouse. For instance, you'll see a message like this: "Ships Thursday, November 6 if ordered in the next 19 hoursand 6 minutes!"

Special orders and personalized items typically take longer to process. Please refer to the "Availability" that displays on the top of each product page for shipping expectations.

When will my order ship if I order an out of stock item?
We strive to keep all items in stock, but occasionally an item on our site may be listed as Temporarily Out of Stock, Pre-Order, or Special Order Item.  You are welcome to purchase out of stock items and we will ship your entire order in one shipment once all items on your order are in stock.  If you need the in stock items to ship immediately, your order can be split for an additional shipping charge.  Call or email us for a shipping quote to split your order. You can also contact us for an estimated ship date on your order containing an out of stock item.

How long will it take my order to be delivered?
Your order will typically leave our warehouse within 2 business days from the time of your purchase. Please note, Saturday and Sunday are not business days. The time in transit depends upon your selected shipping method:

If you select FedEx SmartPost or Flat Rate Ground, the typical transit time is 4-7 business days once the item has left the warehouse. With this method, Fedex turns the package over to the USPS and the package will ultimately be delivered to you by your local mail carrier. Orders using a free shipping promotion will ship through this method whenever possible.
 
If you select USPS Priority Mail, the typical transit time is 2-3 business days once the item has left the warehouse (each product on our website shows the processing time before it leaves the warehouse - typically within 2 business days). Priority Mail does not guarantee delivery times. Priority Mail offers Saturday delivery.

If you selected FedEx Ground, the typical transit time is 3-5 business days once the item has left the warehouse (see map).

Shipping to a P.O. Box
Please note, FedEx Ground and Fedex 2nd Day cannot ship to PO Boxes. If you have a PO Box address, choose Fedex Smart Post or Priority Mail.  

Can you ship by Next Day Air?
We currently do not ship by Next Day Air.

Can you ship by 2nd Day Air?
We do not offer FedEx 2nd Day Air, but Priority Mail can offer reach your address in a similar time frame due to the extra Saturday business day offered during the week. 
 
Will I receive a tracking number?
Yes, when your order ships, you will receive an email with a tracking number. You will typically not receive a tracking number for special orders or personalized items that are shipped directly from the publisher. If you have a Yahoo email address, please check your Bulk mail folder.
 
What if I entered an incorrect address?
Please double check your address information.... if you enter an incorrect address and the item is delivered, it cannot be recovered. No refunds are provided for orders delivered to an incorrect address.
 
If an order with an incorrect address is returned to Specialty Stores, Inc, we will refund your merchandise cost less the cost of forward and return shipping. We would be happy to re-ship it to a correct address with a re-shipment postage fee.

Can I change a shipment method after I place an order?
No, when your order is placed, it is transmitted to our warehouse for processing. Once an order is in process, the shipping method cannot be changed, even if it has not yet been picked up by the carrier. Please choose a shipping method that is appropriate for your desired delivery timeframe.
 
What if my package is lost?
If your shipment hasn't delivered and is past the expected timeframe or if the carrier has reported delivery confirmation on your shipment and you haven't received it, we will file a claim to locate the package. We will re-ship the package after a 7-10 day investigative period if the package is confirmed as lost or stolen. In many cases, these packages are located at neighbor's homes or tucked away in locations around the house which is why we do not immediately reship.

Do you ship to Canada? Are there duties?
Yes, we do ship to Canada and offer USPS First Class International, USPS Priority Mail International or USPS Express Mail International. USPS First Class and Priority Mail International take 2-3 weeks to deliver without tracking and typically has a customs brokerage fee (COD) of $5-$15. USPS Express Mail International shipments take about 1 week in transit and have a similar low brokerage fee. We also ship via UPS Canada, for which duties are also collected COD. 
 
Do you ship to other Countries?
Yes, we ship to select overseas destinations. Some products that ship directly from the manufacturer are not available for overseas shipping. We also do not ship certain breakable items, such as piggy banks or glass photo frames overseas.
 
Do you ship to APO/FPO?
Yes, we ship to APO/FPO addresses by USPS Priority Mail.
